More Than a Bagel!
Each year, dedicated volunteers—both Jewish and non-Jewish—invite community members to sign the Spread Cream Cheese Not Hate® Pledge in exchange for a complimentary bagel and cream cheese.
While the bagel may be our symbol, the true purpose of this initiative is creating meaningful conversations and inspiring action. Every pledge represents a commitment to building a more welcoming, inclusive, and compassionate community.
Why This Matters?
In the wake of the events of October 7th and the alarming rise in antisemitism across the globe, the need for unity and education has never been greater.
For many, Spread Cream Cheese Not Hate® has provided a powerful reminder that they are not alone. In moments when silence felt overwhelming, this initiative created opportunities for dialogue, solidarity, and hope. It continues to reinforce the importance of standing together against hate in all its forms.
The Spread Cream Cheese Not Hate® committee brings together adults and teens from our partner organizations to collaborate, share perspectives, and build meaningful connections across our communities. Together, we work to bridge differences, strengthen relationships, and create a united stand against hate.
